'Plants bearing Toxic Fruit Common to the South East of England' – 2008

"This series of paintings was undertaken as a response to my children. While encouraging them to enjoy the garden and follow current advice to grow as many edible plants as we can, a common question they ask is, “Can I eat that?” especially when the plant bears a delightful looking treasure of a seed or fruit. This is a presentation of some of those for which the answer must be 'no'!"
